Dieser Sport-Vorschalldämpfer von NOVUS ersetzt den originalen Schalldämpfer und ist damit die optimale Ergänzung zu bereits vorhandenen Sport-Endschalldämpfern. Die Verwendung ist aber auch mit Serien-Endschalldämpfer erlaubt.
Diese Art Sport-Abgasbauteile sind nach dem Absorptionsprinzip aufgebaut, das heißt es führen Siebrohre durch die Schalldämpfer. Dadurch ergibt sich ein geringerer Abgasgegendruck und damit wird wiederum ein Zuwachs an Leistung und Drehmoment erreicht. Im Vergleich zum Serienauspuff entsteht in Kombination mit einem Sportendschalldämpfer außerdem ein dumpferes und kraftvolleres Abgasklangbild.
